Welcome to Boissonna!
|
"Le jardin de Boissonna" was created in 1998 by Georges
Beylard upon his retirement. He had fallen in love with roses,
having spent his life planting trees. He designed the garden on
paper and then made it, and in 2004, we decided to share it with
others and open it to the public. Determined to leave Nature as
intact as possible, he set out to create an intimate atmosphere,
a poetic place where forms and colours could bring joy and peace.
|
|
|

The garden contains over 450 varieties of roses, both old and
new, mostly either repeating or perennial, which, even outside
the profusion of colour in May and June, still bloom generously
amongst the other plants and trees.
|
The atmosphere of the South of France is emphasised by the presence
of cypress trees, rosemary, box and other dry-soil plants, which
contrast with the exuberance of the roses.
|
 |
The garden itself is divided into five smaller ones,
each with its own atmosphere, criss-crossed by 400 meters of winding
paths, allowing visitors to discover new treasures with each step. |
 |
The appreciation and admiration of the first visitors convinced his
daughter Véronique to open the garden to the public, and you can now
make the visit a little more enjoyable by sitting down with a cup of
tea and some home-made cakes.
| This will give you a chance to have real
break and fully enjoy the surroundings. |
